On June 6, Andrew Webster (left), Westfield Recreation Department Director, accepted a $500 donation from the Westfield-Mayville Rotary Club as presented by Patty Benton (right), Club Community Service Chairperson. This donation was for the village of Westfield Recreation Department’s Swimming Program. Over 50 years ago, the Westfield-Mayville Rotary Club led a campaign to establish a pool and ice skating rink in Welch Field. The pool was dedicated on Aug. 9, 1967, and the ice rink was dedicated on Feb. 3, 1968.
