Blood drive set Saturday

The American Red Cross will host a blood drive from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Dunkirk First Baptist Church, 876 Central Ave., Dunkirk. A blood donor card or driver’s license or two other forms of identification are required at check-in. Individuals who are 17 years of age in most states (16 with parental consent where allowed by state law), weigh at least 110 pounds and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood. High school students and other donors 18 years of age and younger also have to meet certain height and weight requirements.

August auxiliary meeting canceled

The Auxiliary of the John T. Murray Post 1017 meeting for Monday, Aug. 3 has been canceled. The next meeting will be Sept. 14 at the Post in Dunkirk will be at 7 p.m. Anyone who cannot make it are asked to call Pat at 341-1328. Anyone wanting to become a member please call the same number. A parent brother sister grandparent who has serviced in an overseas war may join.
