Turkey benefit held November 8

SILVER CREEK — A turkey dinner youth benefit will be held from noon-2 p.m. Nov. 8 at Christ Chapel Wesleyan Church, 60 Buffalo St., Silver Creek. The cost is $12 per meal, and tickets will be on sale through Nov. 1 by calling the church at 934-4725.

SUNY Fredonia cancels Fall Sweep

The Applied Communication Association, a State University at Fredonia student group, has canceled the 16th Fall Sweep. The group noted, “We regret to inform you that the 16th annual Fall Sweep Event will be cancelled due to regulations SUNY Fredonia has put into place to keep students safe during COVID-19. Fall Sweep has been a great way to give back to the Fredonia community for many years while also allowing students to bond with one another. We thank you all for your participation throughout the years; without you, this event would have never been possible.”

NCCCA meets Sunday

The Northern Chautauqua County Club Associates will hold their regular monthly meeting Sunday, Oct. 25, at 10:30 a.m. at the Fredonia Beaver Club on Prospect Street, Fredonia. COVID-19 restrictions will be implemented.

County IDA meets Tuesday

The Chautauqua County Industrial Development Agency board of directors will meet at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 27. The meeting will be streamed live on the IDA’s YouTube page. Members of the public may view the meeting by searching “County of Chautauqua IDA” on YouTube. Minutes of the meeting will be transcribed and posted on the agency’s website once approved by the board.
