NCCC Auxiliary holds election meeting tonight

The Northern Chautauqua Conservation Club Ladies Auxiliary will hold an election meeting at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the club room on Mullet Street in Dunkirk. Those attending are asked to wear face masks.

Williams Street closed today in Dunkirk

Williams Street in the town of Dunkirk will be closed Wednesday due to service connections for the water line project.

Land Bank meets this morning via Zoom

The Chautauqua County Land Bank Corporation will meet at 9 a.m. Wednesday via Zoom. The public is welcome to attend. To register, email gparadis@chautauqualandbank.org for the link and password. A recording of the meeting will be available afterward. The monthly meetings of the Chautauqua County Land Bank Corporation are conducted to discuss business associated with the acquisition and potential sale of property by Chautauqua County Land Bank Corporation and other official business as required, agendas will be provided at the meetings. Coalition of County Women hold virtual gathering

The Coalition of Chautauqua County Women and Girls will hold its first virtual gathering featuring author Susan Straight at 4 p.m. Wednesday via Zoom in partnership with Chautauqua Institution. To register for the virtual event, visit www.cccwomen.org. There is no charge to participate.

JCC sets plans for spring

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Jamestown Community College will continue offering courses in the safest, most flexible way possible to meet the needs of students. Courses will be offered in a mix of formats, both on- and off-campus, during the spring semester.

To shorten the semester, classes begin on January 25 and a spring break has been eliminated. On-campus class sessions will begin after Feb. 1. Additional guidelines regarding residence halls, the winter athletic season, and protocols for returning to campus in January are being developed. Advisement and registration for spring courses begins Nov. 2. Courses can be viewed at sunyjcc.edu/courses.
