WESTFIELD — Chautauqua Rails to Trails will commemorate the Christmas Eve 1872 train crash that killed 21 people at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Prospect Station trailhead at the intersection of Prospect Station, Fish and Barnes roads. The address is 6830 Barnes Road, Westfield.

Jim Fincher, Rails to Trails president, will speak. Bill Ward, area musician, Rails to Trails board member and county legislator, will perform his original composition, “Christmas Eve at Prospect Station.” Refreshments will be offered.

The public is welcome to attend. All COVID precautions will be observed and required.
