Brocton registration
begins Monday
BROCTON — Brocton Elementary School will issue registration packets for students eligible for the universal Pre-K and Kindergarten classes for the 2022-2023 school year starting Monday. Along with the completed packets, a copy of a birth certificate, documented immunization records, and proof of residency are required. To be eligible for Pre-K children must turn 4 on or before Dec. 1.
To be eligible for kindergarten, children must turn 5 on or before Dec. 1. Please call the Elementary Office at 792-2100 to request a registration packet.
State of City address to be
released today
Mayor Wilfred Rosas has completed his “2022 State of the City Address” and it is available to the public today. Due to the recent COVID pandemic restrictions, the address has been done virtually. Broadcast of the address can be seen on the Dunkirk Access Channel 1301, or on the City’s YouTube Channel. Additionally, the broadcast will be posted on the city’s website and social media accounts.
Scouts planning for
day camp
The Girl Scouts of Western New York Jamestown Service Center will be hosting a new volunteer-led day camp. Horton Hill Day Camp will run July 12 to 15 for registered Girl Scouts in grades K-12. Girls in grades K-5 will work on outdoor art and eco badges along with new and traditional outdoor activities. Girls in grades 6-12 will participate in a leadership program assisting the younger girls and will earn the Service to Girl Scouting Bar. We are also seeking adult volunteers.
