Chautauqua Italian American Organization will be hosting its first winemaking class on Monday, Nov. 28 at 6:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church Hall in Silver Creek. This is not your grandfather’s wine that many of our grandfather’s made which made your hair curl!

Why not learn the art of wine making with demonstrations of the technique of winemaking. Small snacks will be provided. This is part one of two parts, with part two in about three months with the bottling of the wine.

For the low cost of $20 you will receive two bottles of wine, one white (Diamond) and one red (Concord). You will only have to provide your own bottles (750ml). Corks and a corking machine will be available when the time comes to bottle.

What a great gift to give someone for their birthday or early Christmas present or you could make the wine and design a special label (not provided) stating it was made especially for them by you! How unique!
