STOCKTON -- Julina Kesby Harris, a 32-year member of the Stockton Star Rebekah Lodge, will celebrate her 90th birthday on April 14. The Rebekah Lodge will be celebrating this occasion with a card shower for her at its April 10 meeting. Local residents are invited and encouraged to send cards.
She was married to the late Victor for 24 years. Both were active in the Rebekahs. She has two ste daughters and 3 stepsons. She has been a resident of Stow for 20 years. Before that she lived in Bemus Point for 70 years. She has worked for the Navy Department in D.C., the State Health Department in Jamestown , did 30 years for the Chautauqua County Department of Finance and four years for the Chautauqua Historic Vessels. She has also been a member of the Bemus Point Methodist Church for 89 years.
She is very interested in history and genealogy and belongs to three historical groups including the one called the "Chautauqua Has Beens." Over the years she has collected many beautirful antiques and memorabilia. A recent fire destroyed many of these items, as well as her home. She is now busy restoring the ones that survived the fire, and finding replacements for those that did not survive. As a dog lover, she has had nine dogs, inclued the one which also survived the fire.
