AUXILIARY READIES FOR CONFERENCE

The John T. Murray Post 1017 Auxiliary had its monthly meeting. It opened according to ritual. President Pat Rabb presided over the meeting.

Robin Richmond secretary read the minutes and they stand as approved. Treasurer Pat Kibbe read the treasurers report and was filed subject to audit.

Rabb told auxiliary about the upcoming conference to be held in AlbanyFriday to Sunday. The year ended reports will be handed in to the respective department chairmen..

The district convention will be in May in Jamestown. Registrations were sent in.

Election of officer for the 2023-24 year will take place April 5, meeting starting at 6. If any member wants to hold an office and unable to attend please contact Rabb before that date with a letter of intent. Installation of officers will take place that day. Delegates will also be held for district, state and national.

It was noted that Rabb and Richmond will be giving lap robes and hats to the Honor Flight in April drop off date will be after conference.

The meeting closed according to ritual with a heart salute.

SONS OF LEGION MEET TONIGHT

The Sons of the American Legion Squad 59 will be holding its monthly meeting for March on at 7 p.m. today at Post 59, 156 E. Main St., Fredonia.

All SAL Squadron 59 are encouraged to attend the meetings which are held on the fourth Tuesday of every month.

SILVER CREEK TRACK CLOSING MONDAY

SILVER CREEK — The track at Silver Creek Central School District will be closed to the community starting Monday, while it is under construction as part of the current Capital Project. The district plans to reopen the track by September.

EGG HUNT PLANNED AT SUNY

The Student Athlete Advisory Committee at SUNY Fredonia will be hosting an Easter Egg Hunt for elementary-aged children on from noon to 2 p.m. at Steele Hall. Participants are asked to enter in the front at the glass block windows.
