Dunkirk Seniors making getaway plans

The Dunkirk Senior Center will be having a trip to the Windmill Farm & Market, Saturday, June 3. The Windmill Farm hosts over 175 indoor and outdoor shops with numerous hand-crafted items. There will be fresh produce, flowers, wineries, artistry, etc. Sign up in the Senior Center Office. The cost is $60 per member. Payment for the trip must be made no later than May 22.

The Senior Center is sponsoring a trip to the Buffalo Bisons game on Wednesday, July 26. The cost per member is $55. The Senior Center is sponsoring a Murder Mystery Train Ride on Sunday, Aug. 6. The cost is $100 per member. Casino trips scheduled are: Casino Niagara, Monday, June 12 – $35 per member and Batavia Casino, Monday, July 10 – $40. Can sign up for all trips in the Senior Center Office.

The Senior Center will be having a Spring Fling Dinner on Saturday. Doors open at noon. Dinner consisting of a hot roast beef sandwich with gravy, mashed potatoes, vegetable and dessert will be served at 12:30 p.m. The cost is $10 per member. The Center is also sponsoring a 50’s theme dinner and dance on Thursday, June 29.

Independent Health will be at the Center on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. if for those who have any questions regarding their policies. The next Big Bingo game will be today. Doors open at 4 p.m. with a light dinner at 4:30 p.m. Bingo is played at 5 p.m. The May birthday party will be held Wednesday, May 31. Any member with a May birthday may sign up for the party. The birthday member may bring guests at a cost of $10 per guest.

There will be two craft classes. On May 24, the craft class will be making wooden tulips. The June 5 craft class will be making floral arrangements. The winner of the bottle cap guess was Sandy Davis who guessed 359. The actual amount was 367. Stop by the center to guess this month’s “nail guess”.

Dominoes are played on Wednesday at 1 p.m. Mahjongg is Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. Pinochle is Monday and Friday at 1 p.m. Exercise is Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9 a.m. Hand and Foot card game is played Friday at 1 p.m. Tai Chi is Tuesday and Thursday at 3 p.m. Social time is Thursday at 11:30 a.m. Attendees bring their own lunch and can enjoy 25 cent bingo.
