Cassadaga ‘BLOOM’ project coming soon
CASSADAGA — The Citizens for a Better Cassadaga will again participate in the Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation’s “BLOOM Front Yard Garden Recognition Project.” The Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation sponsors the annual event to publicly acknowledge homeowners and renters who contribute to the curb appeal of local neighborhoods, while inspiring others to take part in creating a more beautiful, vibrant northern Chautauqua.
The BLOOM project is not a contest, but a way to say thank you for showing community pride and adding color and beauty to our community environment. This project coincides with several goals in Cassadaga’s updated comprehensive plan around community and civic pride. Everyone is encouraged to participate.
A BLOOM team will be canvassing the village in early July looking for front yards that are well maintained with a variety of flowers and landscaping. The criteria for selection will include: general curb appeal, color, creativity, and plant variety.
Recognized homes will be acknowledged with a sign, and homeowners/renters will receive a special gift bag. The bag will include a postcard that you will be encouraged to return to NCCF by July 21, in order to be entered into a drawing to win a Chautauqua County Chamber Bucks gift card.
