SILVER CREEK – The Silver Creek Seniors met on June 20 with 29 members present.

Sally Conover opened the meeting with the Pledge to the Flag and all singing God Bless America. Pauline Flitt read “A Prayer for Christian Fathers” and said a blessing for the lunch and the hands that prepared it. Sally then entertained with information about the beloved actor Bob Hope and included some of his jokes.

Lunch included ham and several delicious side dishes. Members also celebrated April, May and June birthdays with cake and ice cream. The 50-50 winners were Judy Domanski (first time back this year), Arlene Miller, Eleanor Lemiszko and Joan Suski. Winners of the gifts were Harry Suski, Joan Militello and Kim Adams. Wheel of Fortune lucky winners included: Bob Sutehall, Janice Snyder, Sally, Stan Thompson, Don Hoeber and Arlene.

Conover called bingo and winners included Pauline Arlene, Joan S. (twice), Judy Hahn, Ginny Chesbro, Lorrie Newman (twice) Sally Shevlin and Jan Polisoto. Next week everyone is to bring a bag lunch and those in attendance will also have strawberry shortcake dessert.
