The Lakeshore Humane Society, 431 E. Chestnut St., Dunkirk, will hold open adoption hours from noon to 3 p.m. The public is welcome to see the dogs and cats in need of loving homes. Dunkirk-Fredonia 56th annual fly-in breakfast
Chautauqua County Airport, 3389 Middle Road, Dunkirk, 8 a.m. to noon. Tickets at the door or at tinyurl.com/2023FIB. $10 adults, $5 children 12 and under. All-you-can-eat pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, orange juice, coffee, decaf, milk. Features a military aircraft and private planes from New York, Pennsylvania and Ohio. Also an arts and crafts show. Opportunity for Great Lakes Flight Center discovery flights – $150 for a half hour, $250 for an hour. One person will co-pilot with a flight instructor with room for two additional passengers. Proceeds benefit high school scholarships for Dunkirk and Fredonia and the Rotary Youth Exchange program.
