Grape Belt Seniors announce plans for upcoming year

Grape Belt Seniors gathered last month for a holiday lunch.

The Grape Belt Seniors meet at the Masonic Lodge on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays for their aerobics and weights class from 9 to 10 a.m. Participants must be a member to attend and the cost is $1 for each class. Dues for membership are now being taken for 2024.

Day trips for 2024 are:

— Monday, April 8 to Deer Run Winery for the Total Solar Eclipse. The group will enjoy a luncheon buffet (grilled chicken and Pulled pork), a wine maker presentation, wine tasting, live entertainment starring Rochester’s Mike Cidoni with selections from Sinatra, Chuck Mangione, James Taylor, The Temptations, Micheal Buble, & more. There is limited seating so call very soon if interested.

— May 23 we are going to see ” Reverend Mother”, a comedy, at Cabaret Studio B in Albion. Lunch is to be decided.

— June 13 or 18 we are going to the “Senior Poloosa” at Spring Lake Winery for lunch, wine tasting and to play “Music Bingo” with our favorite comedian “Joel” from the Double Decker Bus Co.

— July 16 or 18 we are going to the Mount Morris Dam, lunch at Glen Iris Inn in Letchworth State Park, with a final stop at Monk’s Bread in Pittsford and we will experience the beautiful Chanting of the Monk’s, which is breathtaking.

— Aug. 1 we are doing the Cave of the Winds in Niagara Falls with lunch at the Top of The Falls Restaurant..

— Sept. 9 will be a tour of Old Fort Niagara with more to be added.

— October, around the end of the month, date and details with once again “Joel”.

— Dec. 3 we will see the “Rat Pack” perform at the Seneca Niagara Casino with more details to come.

On Fridays we are going to have “Game Day” from 10:30 a.m. to noon. Bring a game board of your choice, cards for any game you’d like, and Nickle’s to play Dominoes. Or you can just walk inside during that time.

Must be a member for these activities on Friday. You can stop by to pay 2024 dues at this time also. Any questions please call 716-672-5778.
