Dunkirk Senior Center list coming events, birthdays

The Dunkirk Senior Center will be having a soup, sandwich and a movie on Tuesday. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. with lunch served at noon. The cost is $5. Sign up in the Senior Center Office.

The Senior Center will be sponsoring a fish dinner on Friday, March 22. Sign up in the office starting Thursday, March 7. Doors will open at 4 p.m. with dinner at 4:30. The cost is $5.

The Senior Center will be attending the New York Yankees vs. Cleveland Guardians game on Sunday, April 14 in Cleveland. There are still 10 seats available for the game. Contact the office for information. The Senior Center will be attending the Eclipse Day – April 8 at Seneca Allegany Casino. The $45 includes $25 free play, access to a viewing party from 2 to 5 p.m., eclipse glasses for viewing and a t-shirt. Sign up in the office.

The Senior Center is announcing a nine-day, eight-night trip to Branson. The trip includes the Ark Encounter, St. Louis Arch, Branson Belle Boat Ride, The Titanic Exhibit and much much more. Contact the office for more information. The trip is scheduled for Sept. 27 to Oct. 5. The Senior Center is also planning a Buffalo River Cruise trip with lunch at Chef’s on Wednesday, June 19. Sign up is being held in the office.

The Chautauqua County Office for the Aging is sponsoring a Shot Clinic at the Senior Center on Wednesday from 10:30 a.m to 12:30 p.m. Flu, Pneumonia, COVID and RSV shots will be available. You must register prior. Stop in the Center office for the registration form. Independent Health will be at the Center to answer any questions members may have regarding their plans on April 11 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The February birthday lunch will be on Wednesday, Feb. 28. Any member with a February birthday is asked to stop by the Center to sign up for the lunch. The birthday member may bring guests at a cost of $10 per guest which must be paid at the time of sign-up. Tai Chi is Tuesday and Thursday at 3 p.m. Dominoes are played on Wednesday at 1 p.m. Mahjongg is Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. Pinochle is Monday and Friday at 1 p.m. Exercise is Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9 a.m. Hand and Foot card game is played Friday at 1 p.m. Social time is Thursday at 11:30 a.m. Attendees bring their own lunch and can enjoy 25 cent bingo.
