Congregation notes coming community events

The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Northern Chautauqua announces the following events that are open to the public. All events will be held at the UU Meeting House, located at 222 Temple St. in Fredonia.

— Cooking for sustainability: Explore delicious, simple meal preparation from farm to table, with sustainability in mind! Engage in discussions about healthy food production followed by creative cooking lessons. Vegan and gluten free eaters are welcome. Classes will take place Sundays, Sept. 22, Oct. 6 and 27,from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Register no later than the Friday evening before each session at https://forms.gle/yFmU6JFosQ2KLWZ9A . The fee to participate is $5 per session, payable at registration form.

— Clarification of Thought: This open discussion group based on Unitarian Universalist Values will be on Wednesdays from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Each session will conclude with a 15-minute meditation. A freewill offering will be accepted, but there is no obligation.

— Cup of Kindness Cafe: Friday from 7 to 10 p.m. Join in for an evening of free coffee, snacks, and great conversation. All are welcome — a special shout out to university students, LGBTQ+ individuals, and just about anyone who just wants a safe and welcoming place to be themselves. A freewill offering will be accepted, but there is no obligation. Watch for the Cup of Kindness Cafe to expand to two Fridays a month starting in October.
