The American Library Association has awarded the South Dayton Village Library a $20,000 grant through its Libraries Transforming Communities Initiative.

The South Dayton Village Library is dependent upon grants, donations, and volunteers to provide services for the community. This grant provides an opportunity for the library to grow and enhance services to make sure it can include all of its service area.

The library will be using this funding to support individuals with disabilities with a special focus on those with neurodivergent tendencies. People who may experience the world differently due to autism make the right changes without listening first.

The library invites everyone in the neurodivergent community, including families, caregivers, and advocates, to meet at the South Dayton Village Library on July 3 at 10:30 a.m. or 6 p.m. so your voices can help shape how we spend this grant. Light refreshments will be served. RSVP by text or calling 716-863-7992.

Starting at $3.50/week.
