Silver Creek Seniors meet
SILVER CREEK – The Silver Creek Seniors met on Aug. 19 with 28 people. Visitors from out of town were Harry and Joan Suski’s daughters Debby and Cindy and son-in-law Brooks. They were here celebrating Harry’s Birthday . Also, visiting from Arizona, were Annette Hoeber’s sister Carol and brother-in-law Roger.
President Sally Conover led the Pledge of Allegiance and then everyone sang God Bless America. Chaplin Pauline Flitt began the Blessing with “Being Kind Says A Lot.”
The Pot Luck lunch was filling especially with all the desserts. On Aug. 26 there will be an assortment of salads.
After lunch Sally shared a few jokes then the games began. Eleanor Lemiszko, Harry and Jan Polisoto won the 50/50 drawing. Gifts were won by Tony Borrello, Dixie Carlson and visitor Brooks. The lucky wheel winners were: Gene Chesbro, Sally, Elaine Wojda, Annette and her sister Carol. The Bingo winners were: Brooks, John Czuba, Cindy, Norra Carroll, Harry, Joan, Eleanor, Don, Al Wilson, Pauline and Tony.
Members want to thank the Silver Creek VFW who donated a new flag. The new upgrade to the driveway looks awesome thanks to Harry making arrangements to have it done.
