Silver Creek Senior Citizens meet

SILVER CREEK – The Silver Creek Seniors met on Nov. 4 with 20 people in attendance. President Randy Nurmi opened the meeting with the Pledge to the Flag and all singing God Bless America. The guest speaker, Erin from Lake Shore Medical Services informed the seniors of the many services available to them in the area. She also spoke of the new doctors who have joined the group.

Lunch consisted of three different soups, bread, homemade biscuits and desserts. After lunch, Randy opened a gift of two beautiful ecumenical glass sun catchers, given by member Tony Gorny.

The 50/50 winners were Gene Chesbro, Marge Church and Ginny Chesbro. Door prizes went to Eleanor Lemiszko, Annette Hoeber and Ginny. Wheel of Fortune lucky winners included: Judy Domanski, Norra Carroll (twice), Eleanor, Annie Griem and Dixie Carlson. Lorrie Newman called bingo and the winners were: Norra, Eleanor (twice), Joan Suski, Annie (twice). Max Church, Annette, Al Wilson and Harry Suski.

Tuesday’s lunch will be pot luck. This Senior Group meets every Tuesday at 1 p.m. The organization asks that everyone arrive by 12:45 p.m. Call Lorrie for information at 716-785-1074.
