The Dunkirk Senior Center has announced Robin Carr as the new Social Planner for 2026.

Former Social Planner, Nancy Renckens, brought her 11 years to a close and “those are pretty tall boots to fill,” Carr said.

She plans to bring social events and trips to the many diversified members where there will be “something for everyone” to be involved and have fun whether it’s an educational or cultural event, a day trip, cruise, overnight excursion or a casino trek. Carr also welcomes any ideas for new places to venture to, as she stated: “This is the members organization. I’m just the conduit to help fulfill those ideas,” she said

Members are welcome to stop in at the Dunkirk Senior Center and introduce themselves to Carr. Office hours for the Social Planner will be Wednesdays and Fridays from 9:30 a.m.to 12:30 p.m. beginning Friday, Feb. 20.
