SILVER CREEK – The Silver Creek Seniors met on a cold, snowy March 17 with 15 members present. President Randy Nurmi opened the meeting with all saying the Pledge of Allegiance and singing God Bless America. Dolly’s Catering served a delicious St. Patrick’s Day meal of corned beef and cabbage, potatoes and carrots along with a scrumptious 3 layer cake. Entertainment was provided by a six person group called “Tossed Salad”. They played many country western and gospel songs. Everyone enjoyed the music and interaction with the performers.

Winners of the door prizes were Eleanor Lemiszko and Deanna Borrello. Wheel of fortune lucky winners were Joe Dolce, Deanna (twice), Anna Griem, Annette Hoeber and Joan Suski. The 50-50 lucky winners included Joan, Elaine Wojda and John Munch, (the birthday boy). Elaine called bingo and the winners were: Carla Welka (singer), Joe Dolce, Lorrie Newman, Randy, Eleanor, Annette, Harry Suski and Norra Carroll.

The group will have a pot luck lunch Tuesday. The Silver Creek Senior Citizens meets every Tuesday at 1 p.m., arrive by 12:30 p.m. Call Lorrie for information at 716-785-1074.
