Silver Creek Senior Citizens meet

SILVER CREEK – The Silver Creek Seniors met on June 16 with 23 people in attendance. President Randy Nurmi opened the meeting with all saying the Pledge of Allegiance and singing God Bless America.

Chaplain Pauline Flitt read “I Pray in the Morning” and offered a blessing of the members and food. Lunch consisted of pot luck dishes and desserts. Winners of the door prizes were Earl Sheeler and Ginny Chesbro. The 50-50 winners were Joan Militello, Pauline and Joan Suski. Wheel of fortune lucky winners included Ruth Sheeler, John Czuba (twice), Deanna Borrello, Pauline and Judy Hahn. Lorrie Newman called bingo and the winners were: Judy, Joe Dolce, Ginny, Jeanne Blakely (twice), Elaine Wojda, Harry Suski (twice), Jan Polisoto (twice) and John.

On Tuesday the group will have a strawberry social. Bring a sandwich or something for lunch. This senior group meets every Tuesday at 1 p.m. Arrive by 12:30 p.m. Call Lorrie for information at 716-785-1074. Note: The group is inviting everyone 55 years of age or older to come and enjoy the fun.
