SILVER CREEK - The Silver Creek Seniors met on August 18 with 32 members present. Exercise with Peggy had many members working out. Vice President Elaine Wojda then opened the meeting with all saying the Pledge of Allegiance and singing God Bless America.
At the meeting the group celebrated member Harry Suski's 97th birthday. Guests were Harry's daughters Cindy Anger, Debbie Suski and Julie Harford, who provided the catered luncheon. The meal consisted of meat loaf, mashed potatoes and gravy, peas, and garlic bread with cupcakes for dessert (Harry's favorite).
The "sign in" winners were Ruth Sheeler, Joan Militello and Don Munch. The 50-50 winners included Al Wilson, Julie, and Wayne Hotelling. Wheel of fortune lucky winners included Joan M, John Czuba, Jay Clark, Harry, and Ruth. Elaine Wojda called bingo and the winners were: Cindy (twice), Julie (twice), Judy Hahn, Debbie, Eleanor Lemiszko, Kevin Delcamp, Janice Snyder, Ruth, and Wayne.
Tuesday's lunch will feature sloppy joes, salads and desserts. This senior group meets every Tuesday at 1 p.m., arrive by 12:30 p.m. Call Lorrie for information at 716-785-1074. The group is inviting everyone 55 years of age or older to come and join in the fun.
