October Events at Anderson-Lee Library

SILVER CREEK - Anderson-Lee Library, located at 43 Main Street in Silver Creek has announced programming for the month of October. Programs are free and open to the public. Registration is required unless stated otherwise, to ensure enough seating and materials for all patrons attending the program. To register for programs, call the library at 716-934-3468, stop by 43 Main Street, or visit www.andersonleelibrary.org and click on the events tab for easy online registration. You can also sign up for email/text reminders when you register online!

The library will be closed on Monday, October 12 for Columbus Day.

Bend, Twist, and Sculpt! Saturday, October 3 at 11am. We bought a whole box of fuzzy sticks (pipe cleaners) and all ages are welcome to come and bend, twist and sculpt to your heart's desire! Please pre-register.

Spooky Season Art, Tuesday, October 6 at 6pm. This program for adults 18 and older will help us get ready for Halloween! Using old calendar pages and public domain art we will add spooky illustrations to create artwork for this fun, spooky season! Please pre-register.

Pokémon Club, Thursdays October 8 and 22 at 4pm. For ages 8 and older. Battles, snacks and an optional craft will be provided. We have lots of cards, but feel free to bring your own. Please pre-register!

Lego Club for ages 5-12, Thursday, October 8 at 6:30pm. Build the challenge of the day, pick a challenge card or free build. Your choice! Limit of 10 children and pre-registration is required.

Tie-Plated Notebooks, Friday, October 16 at 3pm. For ages 7 and older. Stay organized with your own personalized notebook, created with simple supplies. Please pre-register.

All Ages Bingo Tuesday, October 20 at 6pm. Winnie-the-Pooh, that silly old bear, turns 100 this month! This Winnie-the-Pooh themed bingo night will include several rounds of bingo, prizes and snacks! All ages are welcome and registration is required. Join us!

Pre-school Storytime for children ages 2-5 on Thursday mornings October 1, 8, 15, and 22 with Miss Jill at 10:30 am. Children will participate in reading, singing, rhymes and fun crafts. Pre-registration is requested.

School Age Storytime for children 6-12 years of age on Thursday mornings October 1, 8, 15, and 22 at 10:30 am with Miss Amy. Stories, crafts, games, and other activities are offered. Pre-registration is requested.

Annual Trick or Read Halloween Party, Thursday, October 29 at 6pm. Come in costume, play games, craft, read stories, and receive treats! This is a family friendly, non-scary event for all ages. Please register.

Mahjong Club, Tuesdays and Fridays at 1pm. Stop in for a game or stop in to learn how to play with those who love to share their love of the game! No registration required.

The Secret Society of the Twisted Stitchers: Fridays from 2-4pm. This club is for all who love handiwork. Ages 10 and older and all skill levels are welcome! Please bring your own supplies. Just getting started? For knitting, bring size 10/10.5 bamboo needles and a light-colored worsted weight yarn (#4). For crochet, bring a size H hook and light-colored worsted weight yarn (#4). Come and learn or come and work on a project with others who love to knit, crochet, embroider, quilt etc.! No registration required. You do not need to commit to each week to attend. Please stop in and stitch!

Anderson-Lee Library is open to the public Monday and Tuesday from 12-8 pm, Thursday 10 am to 8 pm, Friday 12-5 pm, and Saturday 10 am-2 pm. The library is closed Wednesday and Sunday.
