Jennifer McGuire and Mark Skurzewski

Jennifer McGuire and Mark Skurzewski, together with their families, announce their engagement.

The bride-to-be, originally from North Tonawanda, is the daughter of Kathryn and Thomas McGuire. Jennifer earned her bachelor’s and master’s degree in education from Niagara University. Currently she is a High School Special Education teacher with Albion Central Schools.

The prospective groom, originally from Fredonia, is the son of Cheryl and Peter Skurzewski. Mark earned his bachelor’s degree from SUNY Fredonia and his master’s from Canisius College in education. Currently he is a fifth grade teacher with Albion Central Schools.

The couple became engaged July 31, 2017 while hiking at Bryce Canyon National Park in Utah. They will be married on Oct. 20, 2018 in Batavia, New York where the couple resides.
