Katy Schwalbe and Michael Orbach, together with their families, announce their engagement.

Katy is the daughter of Ted Schwalbe and Joanne Kelley of Fredonia. She is a graduate of Fredonia High School, Columbia University, and the City University of New York. She is a union organizer and researcher for the New York State Nurses Association. Michael is the son of Fiorella Orbach of Cedarhurst, NY and William Orbach of Long Beach, NY. He is a graduate of Rambam Mesivta High School and Queens College. He is a writer and content manager for Touro University.

A fall 2021 wedding is planned. Until then, the couple is at home in Brooklyn with their three opinionated cats.
