Barbershop vocals and Celtic music to perform at Christmas at The Reg concert

JAMESTOWN — James-town Harmony Express, Sue Tillotson and Jim Cunningham will be featured performers at the seasonal concert — Home for the Holidays: Christmas at The Reg. The concert will begin at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 17 at Reg Lenna Center for The Arts in Jamestown.
Celebrating 30 years as a vocal ensemble, Jamestown Harmony Express is comprised of 25 vocalists from the Jamestown area and beyond. Their first performance was in 1986 on The Reg stage. Over 100 members have performed within the group. Among the venues they’ve performed in are the Welk Resort in Branson, Missouri and Chautauqua Amphitheater. They’ve also performed in Columbus, Ohio, London, England, Gettysburg, PA and Washington, D.C.
Sue Tillotson and Jim Cunningham have performed together for several years, bringing their love of Celtic music to audiences through Scottish and Irish songs. They also perform Scandinavian, Breton, Contra and Square Dance. Sue plays fiddle and whistle and Jim plays guitar, bouzouki, cittern and Celtic harp. Both provide vocals. They have played the Jamestown Regional Celtic Festival for 4 years. Their Celtic Christmas repertoire will be performed at this concert.
Home for the Holidays also features live performances from Westfield High School Westwinds, Maple Grove Voices, Marla Harris & Steve Davis, Broadway’s Ron Orbach, Matt Gronquist, Bumpy Peterson and Ken Hardley and The Porcelain Bus Drivers. 10,000 Maniacs’ and WRFA’s Dennis Drew will host the concert. Home for the Holidays: Christmas at The Reg is sponsored by DFT Communications, Comfort Inn of Jamestown and Key Bank.
Tickets for the concert are $5 for children and $10 and $18 for adults. Limited Pay What You Can seats will be reserved and sold — first come, first served the afternoon of the show. The Reg Lenna Center for The Arts box office is open 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday.
