Kokomo Time Band to perform in Mayville

The Kokomo Time Band

MAYVILLE — The July 13 performance of the 2017 Entertainment in the Park Summer Concert Series will feature the Chautauqua County band Kokomo Time. Held Thursday evening, this performance will run from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and be held at Lakeside Park located along Route 394 on the shores of Chautauqua Lake in the Village of Mayville.

The band was organized in 2000 by band leader and Dunkirk resident Jim Steffan. Throughout the years they have entertained at many venues and for many concert series and events. This talented band has been performing at our concert series for many years, featuring their “Trop Rock” sound and including music from the 1950s, 1960s, 1970s, oldies, Calypso, Zydeco, Tex-Mex, and Beach Party music.

Complementing their musical style, they wear iconic Hawaiian or striped shirts while performing. Kokomo Time Band’s current members (all Chautauqua County residents) are Spencer Drake on lead guitar and vocals; Warren Sischo on bass and vocals; Jim Steffan, band leader, on drums and vocals; Russ Farracci on percussion; and Jeff McCheskey on key boards and vocals.

Rainbow the Clown (Jerry Stimson) will also be on hand to entertain the children with creative balloon sculptures and face painting.

These performances are brought to you free of charge through the generous sponsorship by the Town of Chautauqua and Village of Mayville. Remember to bring your own seating for the outside concerts. In case of inclement weather, the performance will take place at the Carlson Community Center, also located at Lakeside Park in Mayville. A 50/50 raffle will be held at the concerts again this summer benefiting the chamber and its work in the community. The Mayville Fire Department will be offering popcorn and water on a donation basis for the benefit of their fire department. There will also be BBQ dinners served this summer at the concerts by the Maple Springs Fire Department, for the benefit of their fire department.
