Forrester Mackay, Hoggard to take part in Art Trail
Local artist to display work
Artist Susan Forrester Mackay, and artist James Hoggard are two of 20 artists participating in this year’s Art Trail, which takes place May 26-27, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Forrest Mackay’s studio is located at 73 Eagle St., Fredonia.
“So basically, I am a figurative painter in oil. I work mainly with water mixable oils, having discovered them about five or six years ago. The fascinating thing about them is that they are made with non-petroleum oils! No toxicity, clean up with water and still feel creamy as butter. The best part of painting for me is actually the ‘process.’ I am in love with people, color, and watching the canvas grow.”
Meanwhile, Hoggard’s studio is located at 36 Castile Drive, Fredonia.
“I have been working on a few photographs of local scenes taken during this past winter and I am pleased with how they look so far! So this year at the Art Trail there will be some exciting new material to view,” he said.
