Ruthie Collins to perform in Cassadaga

CASSADAGA — On Sunday, July 25 from 5-7 p.m., Ruthie Collins is coming home be perform on stage at Cassadaga Beach (Park Avenue, Cassadaga).

Ruthie grew up on a grape farm in Fredonia, went off to Berkeley School of Music and eventually made her way to Nashville. After years of writing songs and waiting tables, Collins landed a deal with Curb Records. Ruthie has been named to CMT’s “Next Women of Country” series and has releases and festival performances that prompted LA Times and Rolling Stone to rave about Collins. This concert is made possible by a Tri-County Arts Council grant provided by the NYS Council on the Arts Decentralization Program.

Also featured at this concert, is local author Gail Lynn Heil. She will be in attendance for purchases and signings of her book “The Heroine’s Journey” – a tale of love, forgiveness and the implications of universal laws. Artist, Dr. Susan B. Barnes, will also be there with some of her work. She is especially known locally for her “spirit art”.

Come by land or by boat. Super Duper Catering will be there or bring your own food and drink. Lifeguards will be on duty and the playground and picnic tables are available for your enjoyment. Parking at the beach is limited, so please park at the nearby church, library or firehall if you are willing and able. The Citizens for a Better Cassadaga invite everyone to come and enjoy an evening of incredible talent.
