Ballet event canceled at 1891 Opera House

The 1891 Fredonia Opera House Performing Arts Center announces that the previously scheduled presentation of Bolshoi Ballet Live’s “The Pharaoh’s Daughter” on Saturday has been canceled.

Opera House Executive Director Rick Davis notes that the production’s high definition satellite distributor, BYExperience, in April announced the indefinite postponement of all transmissions of Bolshoi Ballet performances “in light of the events in Ukraine.”

Davis note that anyone with a presale ticket to The Pharaoh’s Daughter should contact the Opera House Box Office at 716-679-1891, Tuesday to Friday between noon and 4:30 p.m. to discuss refund options.

The 1891 Fredonia Opera House Performing Arts Center is a member-supported not-for-profit performing arts center with a mission to “present the performing arts for the benefit of our community and region … providing access to artistic diversity … and high quality programming at an affordable price.” It is located in Village Hall in downtown Fredonia.
