Sinclairville Library lists events for month of May

SINCLAIRVILLE — The Sinclairville Free Library announces the following programs and events during the month:

¯ Evening hours on Mondays and Thursdays will be expanded, with the library remaining open from 2 to 8 p.m. on those evenings throughout the months of May and June. These additional hours will provide extra time for students and parents to access library resources as students prepare for final exams and projects.

¯ Makerspace Mondays: May 9, 16 and 23 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Featuring Ozobots: Robotics and Coding. Also available: LEGOS, marble runs, Kinex, Building kits and challenges, craft kits and supplies. For all ages. Parent/caregiver must stay with children. Drop in program.

¯ Country Kids on the Fly Saturdays at 10:30 a.m.. Teaching the art of fly tying. Free fly-tying instruction for all kids ages 8 to 90. Free tools and materials.

¯ Family History: Saturday, May 14 at 10 a.m. A new program for anyone interested in genealogy and writing to preserve family history. Will meet the second Saturday monthly.

¯ In-person book club on Monday, May 16 at 7 p.m. to discuss The Only Woman in the Room by Marie Benedict. Online book club meeting on Monday, May 23 at 7:30 p.m. to discuss The Book of Lost Friends by Lisa Wingate. Please contact the library to receive the link. Writer’s Lounge online meeting place for teens and adults interested in writing. Every other Thursday at 7:30 PM. Meetings May 12 and 26. Writing prompts provided with feedback from other writers available.

¯ Sinclairville Samplers each Friday at 10:30 a.m. Quilting, knitting, crochet, embroidery and fun with friends while you create together.
