Join the staff at the Barker Museum in Fredonia for a tour of the current historical photography exhibit on Monday from noon to 4 p.m.
The McClaren collection of antique cameras and equipment are on display, as well as many kinds of photographs dating back to 1839. This exhibit will be ending at the close of October. Visitors are invited to try their hands at an activity that was enjoyed by the summer children's programs: silhouettes are drawn on paper, and reduced in size using a pantograph. The resulting picture is cut out and placed on cyanotype paper to develop a print. You can even think of ways to make your silhouette spooky!
The next event will be a presentation by the Jamestown Paranormal Investigators on Oct. 22. Recently this group did several studies at the Barker Museum to explore possible paranormal activity. Details and more information about this event will be released soon.
