The City of Dunkirk’s Music on the Pier Summer Concert Series continues for the second week today in Memorial Park. The concerts are presented by DFT Communications, Chautauqua Nursing & Rehabilitation Center and stage sponsor National Grid.

Sponsored by Lawley Insurance and Brooks-TLC Hospital System, Inc., the 60’s/Motown night will open with Uptown Fever from 5:25 to 6:45 p.m. and the headliner Aftermath: Experience the Sixties will hit the stage from 7:00 to 9 p.m.

Uptown Fever is a fun and exciting Motown/Funk/Disco show band from Western New York. The band will step you through time from the early Motown days through the late 70’s, performing the songs of great artists like The Temptations, Aretha Franklin, The Jackson Five, The Ohio Players, and K.C. and The Sunshine Band. This nostalgic group is comprised of Marty Crandall (vocals, keyboards), Jamie Lee Bonfiglio Davis (vocals), Karen Piazza Buck (vocals), Keri Belovarac (bass guitar/vocals), Jim Embrey (percussion/vocals), Jerry Yachetta (guitar) and Marc Scapelitte (drums).

Aftermath: Experience the Sixties show recreates the sights and sounds of the 60’s featuring authentic reproductions of some of the most memorable songs from the 60’s.

Aftermath delivers the sights with period-correct costuming and delivers the sounds of the 60’s so authentically it’s easy for the audience to go back in time while watching, listening and enjoying the band perform a spot-on, family-friendly performance.

During the show, audiences relive the ’60s listening to British Invasion, ’60s Pop, Psychedelic and “Everything Groovy.” From the Beatles, Byrds & Rolling Stones to the Monkees, Grass Roots, Turtles and Strawberry Alarm Clock, Aftermath is the ’60s while performing the show.

Aftermath has shared the stage with the likes of The Hollies, 1964 The Tribute, Peter Noone, The Vogues, Gary Lewis & The Playboys, The Buckinghams, 1910 Fruitgum Co. and several other national acts.

Guests are reminded to bring a chair. Food trucks and other vendors will be on site along with the beverage tent provided by Arthur R Gren Company and Southern Tier Brewing Company.
