March events set at Anderson-Lee Library

SILVER CREEK — Anderson-Lee Library at 43 Main St. has announced its programming for the month of March. Programs are free and open to the public.

Registration is required unless stated otherwise, to ensure enough seating and materials for all patrons attending the program. To register for programs, call the library at 716-934-3468, stop by 43 Main Street, message us on Facebook, or visit www.andersonleelibrary.org and click on our events tab for easy online registration. You can also sign up for email/text reminders when you register online!

— Preschool Storytime for children ages 2-5 on Thursday mornings March 14, 21, and 28 with Miss Jill at 10:30 a.m. Children will participate in reading, singing, rhymes and fun crafts. Pre-registration is requested.

— School Age Storytime for children 6-12 years of age on Thursday mornings March 14, 21, and 28 at 10:30 a.m. with Miss Amy. Stories, crafts, games, and other activities are offered. Pre-registration is requested.

— The Secret Society of the Twisted Stitchers: Fridays from noon to 2 p.m. This club is for all who love handiwork. Ages 10 and older and all skill levels are welcome! Please bring your own supplies. Just getting started? For knitting, bring size 10/10.5 bamboo needles and a light-colored worsted weight yarn (#4). For crochet, bring a size H hook and light-colored worsted weight yarn (#4). Come and learn or come and work on a project with others who love to knit, crochet, embroider, quilt etc.! No registration required. You do not need to commit to each week to attend. Please stop in and stitch!

— Chess Club: All skill levels are welcome to attend Chess Club! We will meet on Fridays from 2 to 3 p.m. For ages 10+ and registration is not required. Please stop in and play!

— Presentation on Elder Law, Thursday at 1 p.m. with Kelsie Abbt, Paralegal, Center for Elder Law and Justice. Free and open to the public.

— Lego Club for ages 5-12, Saturday at 10:30 a.m. Build the challenge of the day, pick a challenge card or free build. Your choice! Limit of 10 children and pre-registration is required.

— Paint a Wooden Rainbow: Tuesday, March 12 at 6pm. For all ages and abilities. Paint a wooden rainbow for St. Patrick’s Day! All materials provided and pre-registration is required as supplies are limited.

Anderson-Lee Library is open to the public Monday and Tuesday from noon to 8 p.m., Thursday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday noon to 5 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The library is closed Wednesday and Sunday.
