March events planned at Patterson Library

WESTFIELD — The Patterson Library, located at 40 S. Portage St., offers a wide variety of free events and programs. Registration is not required unless stated otherwise. Call/visit the library during open hours: Monday, Wednesday, Friday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Tuesday, Thursday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; closed Sundays. Call 716-326-2154.

For adults 18+: Join one of the monthly book clubs. Call to confirm dates; no registration is necessary. New programs include: the Fireside Lecture Series with CCHS on Thursday, March 5 at 6 p.m.; a Concert Series: SUNY Fredonia Music Students on Thursday, March 12 at 5:30 p.m.; Embroidery for Beginners, on the last Thursday of the month at 6:30 p.m. Supplies are included. A Technology Workshop: Learn all about AI is scheduled for Wednesday, March 18, from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Op Art with Melissa Meyers is scheduled for March 19, from 1 to 3 p.m. Registration is required, Supplies are included.

Cozy Crafters meets weekly on Tuesday from 1 to 3 p.m. Work on any handcraft; no registration is required. Culinary Creations meets the first Monday at 12 p.m. Sign up and select a recipe from the cookbook chosen for the month. Bring your finished creation to share with other participants.

An Octagon Gallery Artist reception for Lark Milius will take place Friday, March 27 from 5 to 7 p.m.

Sensory Support with Mrs. Matthews, will take place Saturdays March 7, 21 and 28 at 11 a.m. Learn about sensory differences, what they are, and how you can help your child in 3 sessions: Understanding Sensory; Movement and Regulation; and Sensory Support at Home. Registration is required.

Other children’s activities include Zoom room: Thursdays at 10:15 a.m. for ages 0 to 3; Giggle and Grow Storytime: Fridays at 10:30 a.m., for ages 3 to 5 and their families; LEGO Club Saturdays 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Leprechaun Trap making will be held Friday, March 13 at 11 a.m. Build your very own leprechaun trap! A Royal Party is set for Saturday, March 14 at 11 a.m. All princes and princesses are invited to a royal celebration filled with music, treats and sparkling fun. Registration is requested. Crochet and Crafters’ Club begins Tuesday, March 24 at 4 p.m. Tweens/teens are invited to come create together

as they crochet or do other crafts. DnD TEEN Meet will be offered select Saturdays, starting at 10 a.m.

Teen & Tween Advisory Board is scheduled for March 10 at 4 p.m. Teens and tweens are invited to help plan future teen/tween programming.
