SILVER CREEK — Anderson-Lee Library, at 43 Main St., has announced programming for the month of March. Programs are free and open to the public. Registration is required unless stated otherwise, to ensure enough seating and materials for all patrons attending the program. — Garden Without Pain with Bradley Rinehart: Tuesday, March 3 at 6:30pm. Local physical therapist Bradley Rinehart will share techniques and exercises to keep your body safe while gardening. Based on the popular PBS show “GardenFit”! Join us because gardening season will be here before you know it! Sponsored by the Silver Creek and Hanover Gardening Club. Please register.
— New! Fiber Arts Club for ages 10 and older: Thursday March 5 and 19 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. This month we will learn to embroider and will start with the alphabet. All materials are provided. Registration is required and spots are limited.
— Lego Club for ages 5-12, Saturday, March 7 at 10:30 a.m. Build the challenge of the day, pick a challenge card or free build. Your choice! Limit of 10 children and pre-registration is required.
— Character Creation Workshop with Rebecca Cuthbert: Thursday, March 12 at 6 p.m. Local author, editor, and writing instructor Rebecca Cuthbert is back for her third writing workshop at Anderson-Lee Library! Learn to craft engaging and complex characters during this one-hour generative writing workshop. Participants will leave with more than one brand-new character worthy of protagonist status! Refreshments will be served. Registration appreciated.
— Flower Pot Gnomes: Tuesday, March 24 at 6 p.m. Create an adorable gnome for spring! Although best for those 12 and older, those younger in age are welcome to register with an adult to assist them. Every person who wishes to make a gnome should register for a spot.
— Sowing Seeds Now! Methods for Sowing Indoors and Outdoors: Thursday, March 26 at 6 p.m. Members of the Silver Creek and Hanover Garden Club will present a class to get you up and running and planning for your garden. Learn what you can still sow outdoors now and what can be started indoors now. Please register.
— Preschool Storytime for children ages 2-5 on Thursday mornings March 5, 12, 19, and 26 with Miss Jill at 10:30 a.m. Children will participate in reading, singing, rhymes and fun crafts. Pre-registration is requested.
— School Age Storytime for children 6-12 years of age on Thursday mornings March 5, 12, 19, and 26 at 10:30 am with Miss Amy. Stories, crafts, games, and other activities are offered. Pre-registration is requested.
— The Secret Society of the Twisted Stitchers: Fridays from 2 to 4 p.m. This club is for all who love handiwork. Ages 10 and older and all skill levels are welcome! Please bring your own supplies. Just getting started? For knitting, bring size 10/10.5 bamboo needles and a light-colored worsted weight yarn (#4). For crochet, bring a size H hook and light-colored worsted weight yarn (#4). Come and learn or come and work on a project with others who love to knit, crochet, embroider, quilt etc.! No registration required. You do not need to commit to each week to attend. Please stop in and stitch!
Anderson-Lee Library is open to the public Monday and Tuesday from noon to 8 p.m., Thursday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday noon to 5 p.m., and Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The library is closed Wednesday and Sunday.
