Fredonia library plans exhibition in May

Fredonia’s Darwin R. Barker Library has announced its next local art exhibition, “Segments, Chance, Order — Mixed Media Sculpture by Thomas Golya.”
Golya’s work has previously been exhibited both locally and nationally in the southwest and midwest. This will be the first public showing of his work in more than 30 years.
A graduate of Kent State University and Ohio University, Golya has traveled extensively throughout Spain, Greece, Crete, Turkey, Iran, Afghanistan, Morocco, Guatemala, and Mexico. His work is influenced by folk art, mythologies, and nature in its varied forms.
The library will host an opening reception on Thursday, May 7 from 5 to 7 p.m. Enjoy refreshments and talk with the artist!
“Segments, Chance, Order” can also be viewed during regular library hours from May 7 to June 30. The Darwin R. Barker Library is located at 7 Day Street, Fredonia, NY.
