Pictured are items from the exhibit.

The “Backstage Tours” at Emmitt Christensen Gallery at the State University of New York at Fredonia includes behind the scenes and in the classrooms.

The exhibit of the work of the B.F.A. Theatrical Production and Design program opened April 8 and will continue until Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

There are various stage artifacts from this year’s Walter L. Gloor Mainstage Series productions. Costume, lighting, projections, scenery, and classroom projects preparing the students for Mainstage work are also showcased. The exhibit allows viewers to see the work up close, and the specificity required to execute details the audience may not really see to appreciate.

The exhibit is made possible by the members of the Fredonia USITT Student Chapter (FUSITT). This year’s chair of FUSITT is Jamie Mattheus, a fourth-year student in Costume Design, and Jaydon Zullo, a third-year student in Lighting Design, is vice chair.

The Emmitt Christian Gallery is located on the second floor of the Michael C. Rockefeller Arts Center.

Starting at $3.50/week.
