May events listed at Anderson-Lee Library

A two-part air-dry clay class taught by Cheryl Bogdan will be held at Anderson-Lee Library on May 7 and 14 at 6 p.m.

SILVER CREEK — Anderson-Lee Library, located at 43 Main St., has announced programming for the month of May.

Programs are free and open to the public. Registration is required unless stated otherwise, to ensure enough seating and materials for all patrons attending the program. You can also sign up for email/text reminders when you register online!

The library will be closed on Monday, May 25 for Memorial Day.

— Air-Dry Clay Classes: Sculpting and Painting, Thursdays, May 7 and May 14 at 6 p.m. For ages 18 and older. Join us for this art class instructed by Cheryl Bogdan. Space is limited so be sure to register early and reserve your spot. Class is free and all materials will be provided.

— Lego Club for ages 5-12, Saturday, May 9 at 10:30 a.m. Build the challenge of the day, pick a challenge card or free build. Your choice! Limit of 10 children and pre-registration is required.

— Fiber Arts Club: Learn to Embroider, for ages 9 and older, Thursday May 21 from 5:30-7 pm. This class is focused on those just learning, but all levels of skill are welcome. All materials are provided. Registration is required and spots are limited.

— Family Bingo Night, Tuesday, May 19 at 6 p.m. This Taco themed bingo night will include several rounds of bingo, prizes and snacks! All ages are welcome and registration is required. This will be the second in a series of themed bingo nights each month, with the goal of providing additional free, family friendly programming to our community. Join us!

— Preschool Storytime for children ages 2-5 on Thursday mornings May 7, 14, 21, 28 with Miss Jill at 10:30 a.m. Children will participate in reading, singing, rhymes and fun crafts. Pre-registration is requested.

— School Age Storytime for children 6-12 years of age on Thursday mornings May 7, 14, 21, 28 at 10:30 a.m. with Miss Amy. Stories, crafts, games, and other activities are offered. Pre-registration is requested.

Mahjong Club, Tuesdays and Fridays at 1p.m. Stop in for a game or stop in to learn how to play with those who love to share their love of the game! No registration required.

The Secret Society of the Twisted Stitchers: Fridays from 2 to 4 p.m., except for May 1. This club is for all who love handiwork. Ages 10 and older and all skill levels are welcome! Please bring your own supplies. Just getting started? For knitting, bring size 10/10.5 bamboo needles and a light-colored worsted weight yarn (#4). For crochet, bring a size H hook and light-colored worsted weight yarn (#4). Come and learn or come and work on a project with others who love to knit, crochet, embroider, quilt etc.! No registration required. You do not need to commit to each week to attend. Please stop in and stitch!

Anderson-Lee Library is open to the public Monday and Tuesday from 12-8 pm, Thursday 10 am to 8 pm, Friday 12-5 pm, and Saturday 10 am-2 pm. The library is closed Wednesday and Sunday.
