Second singer, songwriter showcase set
Some of Fredonia’s student singer/songwriters received an ovation following the fall FredSong Singer/Songwriter Showcase performance. The showcase returns April 8 with a 7:30 p.m. performance in Bartlett Theatre.
Fredonia’s student singer/songwriters will again display their talents through a showcase sponsored by the Department of Theatre and Dance.
The second FredSong Singer/Songwriter Showcase of the 2025-26 season takes place on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. in Bartlett Theatre. The inaugural FredSong event took place in September.
Tickets are $10 for the general public and $5 for all students. They are available online 24/7 at fredonia.edu/tickets. Tickets may also be purchased on Monday, Wednesday or Friday by phone at 716-673-3501 or in person at the Ticket Office in the Williams Center from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and at the door.
Facilitated by Dr. Rob Deemer, chair of the Department of Theatre and Dance, the showcase is open to student singer/songwriters from throughout the campus. The showcase is part of the New Works Series, a new initiative by the Department.
In addition to giving student singer/songwriters an outlet, the FredSong Showcase provides another opportunity for technical theatre students to hone their skills in a live setting.
