Stakes high as CGT completes third round

The competition reached a turning point Monday at The Spire Theater as Chautauqua’s Got Talent, completed its third round and revealed the contestants advancing to next week’s semi-finals.

With only a limited number of spots remaining, the stakes were higher than ever, and contestants delivered some of their strongest performances of the season. The level of competition continues to rise as performers refine their acts and connect more deeply with the audience.

Following Night 3, the following contestants have advanced to the semi-finals: April Hulett, Braelee Zuck, Braydon King, Daughters of Thunder, Emeleerose Mason, Gypsy The Disciple, Hayden and Autumn Rain, Howard McAvoy, Jared Pierce, Justin Wheeler, Kam ‘n’ Zac, Liv Clement, Meghan Kelsey, Sandy Hopkins, Shelby Peterson, and Victoria Estelle Elia.

With the field now narrowed to its final contenders, the competition has entered its most unpredictable stage.

“We’re at the point in the competition where really strong acts are going home,” said producer Angelo Valentino. “There are people who, a week or two ago, you could have easily seen winning the whole thing, and now they’re out. That’s how tight it is this year. I think the audience is going to be surprised by who’s emerging as the front runners.”

Judge and producer Ylsa Maj added, “What’s been exciting is watching how quickly things can change from week to week. Contestants who take risks and really commit to their performance are the ones starting to separate themselves. It’s not just about talent anymore — it’s about presence, connection, and consistency.”

The remaining contestants will continue to work with local and regional entertainment professionals as they prepare for the Semi-Finals, where a spot in the finale — and a chance at the $1,000 grand prize — will be on the line.

“As the competition heads into its final rounds, audiences can expect an evening filled with high-stakes performances and memorable moments,” Valentino added.

Presented by The Post-Journal, WWSE and SE-93, the semi-finals will take place Monday, April 27, at 7 p.m., followed by the finale on May 4, both at The Spire Theater, 317 E. Third St. Tickets are available at inspirejamestown.com or at the door.

Starting at $3.50/week.
