An evening of jazz with the Fredonia Jazz Orchestra will be held on Thursday.

It will feature the music of Wayne Shorter, Cedar Walton, Thad Jones, Thelonious Monk and Dizzy Gillespie.

The 8 p.m. event will be held in Rosch Recital Hall at SUNY Fredonia.

Students participating include saxophonists Angelo K. Delaney, Amya Softic, Evan P. Bonanno, David Hoebener and Sean Kress; trumpeters Jimmy Deedy, Ethan Wellington, Darwin Skalski and Sara J. Amend; trombonists Charles Radonski, Daniel Williams, Justin Damiano and Preston Resto; pianist Ella Polvino, guitarist Mark Dashkevych, bassist Vanessa J. Patterson, and drummers Nigel W. Usiak and Haden E. Gold.
