CASSADAGA - The Citizens for a Better Cassadaga has announced that on Sunday, 10 Cent Howl will be performing as part of the Cassadaga Lakes Summer Concert Series from 5-7 p.m.
Ten Cent Howl strives to bring back music filled with stories about where we come from and who we are; our roots. Americana at its best - original and some covers as well. Don't miss this chance to hear this group of outstanding musicians: Bill Smith on vocals/acoustic guitar, Jerry Hall on bass/vocals, Randy VanWey on drums, Charlie Wesley on electric guitar and Sasha Pack on keyboards.
Their newest album was recorded in Cassadaga and is titled "Music From the Maple Downs."
From 4-5 p.m. on the newly renovated Beach Bandstand will be "Still Bill" Moran. He will be playing guitar and singing folk songs (and a few protest songs) from the '60s. He will be bringing his dog who actually sings along with Bill. You will have to see it to believe it.
Cassadaga Beach and Floating Stage are located on Park Avenue in Cassadaga. Come by land or come by boat. There are picnic tables, grills, playground and lifeguards will be on duty for swimming. Bring a cooler or get a hot dog at Jake's Weenie Wagon. All local artists and/or authors are invited to set up shop on the basketball court. Please call 716 665-8855 if interested.
This event is made possible with funds from the Statewide Community Regrants program, a regrant program of the NYS Council on the Arts with support of the Office of the Governor and the NYS Legislature and administered by Arts Services Inc.
