Flea market returning to Sheridan Friday, Saturday

SHERIDAN – A flea market will return to the VFW Memorial Post, 2556 Route 20 from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. There is at least 90% different merchandise each month. This month will feature Thanksgiving and Christmas decor plus, vintage toys, household, antiques and Bills collectibles. There will be a 50-50 drawing and half the funds will support the veterans and half will be awarded to one lucky winner. Chances are $1 each or eight for $5. The 1891 Fredonia Opera House Performing Arts Center will present a special free recital featuring some of the most talented young artists from the State University of New York at Fredonia’s School of Music on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. Presented in partnership with Ekstasis Duo’s Eliran Avni and Natasha Farny, the performance is part of a concert initiative created by the Duo.
