‘Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat’ Friday and Saturday

WESTFIELD — The award winning musical, “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” lyrics by Tim Rice and music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, will be presented on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 10 and 11 at 7:30 p.m. at Westfield Academy and Central School as their annual dinner theater.

Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for students and senior citizens. As well, in order to commemorate Veterans’ Day, any veteran is also entitled to the $5 ticket price. Tickets may be purchased by calling 326-2151 or purchased online following the link on the Westfield Academy and Central School website.

Joseph tells the story of Joseph and his brothers as they deal with jealousy, imprisonment and finally find themselves in the court of the Egyptian Pharaoh. “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” is family-friendly with musical styles ranging from ’50s rock, beautiful ballads, calypso, and some foot-stompin’, boot kickin’ country with a square dance that will raise the roof!

The production features a cast of 40 high school students as well as a kids choir of 50. Featured in the show are Luke Stephenson as Joseph, Kailyn Gatto, Brittany Whitcomb, Jasmine Kiswani, Ania Nichols, Kayla Nichols and Sarah Tilley as the narrators, Bradley Belmondo as the Pharaoh, Brock Schuster and Colby Bills, sharing the role of Judah, Austin Bourgeois and Tyler Miles sharing the role of Simeon and Austin Presto as Reuben. The show is directed by Kent Knappenberger.
