Danza! Performing Arts Academy will hold their annual Holiday production at the 1891 Fredonia Opera House today and Friday at 7 p.m. This year’s performance “Tinsel & Tidings” features talented local dancers of all ages.

The local Holiday performances are open to the public. The annual performance features numerous of the studio’s dancers each year in a unique and original presentation choreographed by Danza! Artistic Director Krista Taylor.

Opening the show is “Man with a Bag” an upbeat tap dance performed by some of the studio’s advanced students. In addition to Tap, Hip hop, Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Lyrical, Musical Theatre and Tumbling will also be performed. Beautiful holiday costumes, props and sets as well as a festively decorated Opera House enhance the performance.

Young dancers will be performing to such holiday classics as “Santa Claus is Coming to Town”, “Christmas Baby”, and “Run, Run Rudolf”. Some of the studio’s tumbling students will flip to “Yabba Dabba Yuletide” featuring a variety of skill levels and ages. Musical theatre dancers will perform “Making Christmas” from the Nightmare Before Christmas with a full cast of characters.

The performances include something for everyone and are very family friendly. Performers are from all over Chautauqua County and range from the age of three and up. Tickets are available at the 1891 Fredonia Opera House at 679-1891. The box office is open Tuesday through Friday 1 to 4 p.m. at 9 Church St. in Fredonia.
