Pedro and the Smooth Cats to Perform in Cassadaga
Pedro and the Smooth Cats will be performing at the Cassadaga Beach on Sunday.
CASSADAGA — On Sunday, June 25 from 5-7 p.m., Pedro and the Smooth Cats will grace the Floating Stage at Cassadaga Beach. This local band covers a variety of American music styles, including country, blues, R&B, rockabilly and even some jazz.
Singer, sax player, keyboardist Pete Howard is a Fredonia native and is known as one of the top sax players in Western New York. Guitarist Greg Lay lives on the Cattaraugus Territory (Gowanda) and led a renowned Native American blues band. Arkwright’s Cam Lord is the drummer. Jeff White of Jamestown is a veteran bass player and songwriter. Together, they create a unique sound that pleases every audience. This concert is sponsored a NY Statewide Community Regrant administered by Art Services, Inc.
There will be a flurry of activity on the basketball court during the concert: Local author, Charlie LaDuca will be available with his book “Baseball is Life is Baseball.” Charlie is from Fredonia and will be on hand for book signings and questions. Sinclairville’s John Conway will be at the concert as well, with his metal art. There will be Cassadaga Lake themed items for sale, created by Cassadaga’s Elaine Bardol. Super Duper Catering will be selling food and drink or you can bring your own.
Come by boat or bring a chair or blanket. Parking at the beach on Park Avenue is limited, so if you are able, please park at the nearby library, church (both on Maple Avenue) or across the street from the fire hall on Mill Street.
