DownBeat Percussion sets free performance

DownBeat Percussion is the drum line of the Buffalo Bills.

The 1891 Fredonia Opera House Performing Arts Center presents DownBeat Percussion, the official drum line of the Buffalo Bulls, in a free performance on Saturday at 2 p.m.

Comprised of world class percussionists who thrive on energy, precision, and performance, DownBeat Percussion regularly performs in front of more than 70,000 people as the official drumline of the Buffalo Bills!

The group’s first performance with the Bills was during the team’s 2013 Christmas halftime show. Since then, the drum line has performed at every home game: in the parking lot for all the tailgaters and those entering Ralph Wilson Stadium, in a three-minute pregame show on the field before Kick-Off, and from the sidelines during the game to hype the crowd after a good play! At holiday time and for Veteran’s Day, the group gives a halftime show.

The members of DownBeat Percussion are all active in the field of education and have dedicated a large portion of their lives to spreading the art of percussion and the opportunities it has to offer. Committed to helping students become the best musicians they can be, the group also provides music educators with the tools and information they need to create an exceptional percussion curriculum.

Admission to the performance is FREE, but tickets are required. Visit or call the Box Office at 716-679-1891 today and Friday to reserve tickets today. There is a limit of four tickets per reservation.

The performance is presented, in part, with support from the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Arts and Cultural Initiative, as administered by the Community Foundation of Greater Buffalo.

The 1891 Fredonia Opera House Performing Arts Center is a member-supported not-for-profit performing arts center with a mission to “present the performing arts for the benefit of our community and region … providing access to artistic diversity … and high-quality programming at an affordable price.” It is located in Village Hall in downtown Fredonia.
