Scott Creek Collaborative, a local group of potters, invites the public to a free, illustrated presentation by Louisiana clay artist, Chris Pate, entitled “Wood Firing in the USA – The Itinerant Potter: Separation, Initiation, and Return.” In this presentation, Pate will offer the audience a rare opportunity to learn about the ancient art of wood-firing ceramics. Whether you have made pottery yourself, or simply love to have pottery in your home, you will find his talk informative and engaging. The presentation is on Friday, May 17th at 4 p.m. in the Kelly Family Auditorium, Room 150, in The Science Center on the SUNY Fredonia campus.
